"We were looking for a home for dad. We spent time visiting all the homes in our area. Lavender Hills stood out far above all the other homes. The home is clean and beautifully presented. The staff all go out of there way to welcome you in and make you feel part of a family the moment you step through the door. We love how their ethos is to care for your loved ones in a nurturing environment but promote and encourage independent living where possible. The atmosphere around the home is incredibly calm."

"My dear mother spent her last six years at this wonderful place and passed away at the incredible age of 97. This isn’t a care home, it is a family home which is owned and run by a family and you can feel the love and care all around. Lavender Hills gave my mother the best care and for that I will be eternally grateful."

"My wife had one-to-one respite care. The support and treatment by a dedicated management and caring staff was exceptional. It has certainly changed my opinion of what living in a care home could be like. I was always made welcome to visit and stay at any time. Everyone was so kind, considerate and helpful. It was a very happy experience in a difficult situation."

"From first walking into the home it had a warm and welcoming feeling this was extremely comforting for me as when a loved one goes into respite with a view to it being permanent it is a hard decision and to feel how I felt when I was there was comforting. All the staff from cleaners to managers were welcoming to us as a family especially under the circumstances nothing was too much trouble for them, we were made to feel comfortable was shown around and everything explained to us. The home is a credit to all who work there and would highly recommend to others looking for care."

"Mum's move here has been very successful. She feels safe here and loves the staff. She has improved since she came here because there is more stimulation with people to talk to, and lots of activities to do. She never asks to go 'home'. She seems happy here."

Daughter of Resident/Service User
"My dad had broken his hip and following a hospital admission he returned to Worthington Lake. The staff gave him reassurance, care and support to settle him back home and to regain his confidence. The professionalism of the carers, the occupational therapist and all staff have enabled Dad to feel happy back at Worthington Lake and to walk safely again."

"Lakeside became a welcomed second home to my dad and the staff became a family. It's impossible to put in to words how grateful I am for everything you have done over the last two years for my dad's health and wellbeing as well as my own."

Son of Resident/Service User
"What Lakeside gave to my Mum was dignity, love and first-class round-the-clock care. Every one of the staff treated my Mum like one of their own family members. But what they also did was treat me like one of their own too. Helping me, supporting me through making decisions to ensure my Mum got the care she rightly deserved."
Anna-Marie B
Daughter of Resident/Service User
"My sister was always well taken care of at Lakeside, however prior to moving to Lakeside, she had not been out of bed for around 16 months. When she arrived, she was encouraged to be out of bed, washed, changed and join the other residents for meals and activities. She even went on a couple of trips outside of the home, given she had previously not been out of bed for such a long time, this was fantastic progress and a great experience for her."

"From day one, my aunty has been treated with the utmost respect and dignity by all the staff at Langtree. She enjoys the friendliness and comfort of the place and the smiling faces of the Carers. They include her in the day-to-day activities and socialising, always asking first her wishes before assuming she would want to participate."

"We could not thank this care home and staff enough for the care, understanding of mum's needs and the gentleness of their care staff. The attention to detail with each individual resident is definitely second to none. The resident rooms were beautifully presented."

"I can't thank the team at Langtree enough for the individual care and attention that they have shown Mum since she moved in. The entertainment and activities on offer are wonderful."
