"My sister was always well taken care of at Lakeside, however prior to moving to Lakeside, she had not been out of bed for around 16 months. When she arrived, she was encouraged to be out of bed, washed, changed and join the other residents for meals and activities. She even went on a couple of trips outside of the home, given she had previously not been out of bed for such a long time, this was fantastic progress and a great experience for her."

Despite a good recovery at the age of almost 89 he can be unsteady and had lost confidence and has become isolated through not leaving the house.Since joining the Lakeside community he has been encouraged to be as independent as possible, made new friends and even been out and about to places like the local library again."
