On the banks of Worthington Lake, our specially built home provides dementia and respite support.
Residential Care
Residents at Worthington Lake choose how they want to spend their time, pursuing a wide range of interests and hobbies – from gardening and flower arranging to quiz nights and baking. Guests are free to furnish their luxury en-suite bedroom however they like, with personal belongings – cushions, art or ornaments – providing that true homely feeling.
Dementia Care
With the right surroundings and a tailored daily routine, people with dementia can get the quality of life that they truly deserve. Time, energy, understanding, reassurance and respect are all essential elements of dementia care. But, ultimately, it takes much more to understand each person’s needs and work with them to give them that safe and healthy lifestyle.
Respite Care
At Worthington Lake, we provide a luxury hotel-like experience, catering for residents’ every need. Respite guests benefit from a wide range of activities in our homes; we want to ensure our guests live well, pursuing any interests or hobbies they may have – or want to take up.

The Standish Care Village comprises three homes which provide different levels of care. This creates a continuity like no other in the North West.
Worthington Lake Care Home
Worthington Lake Care Home specialises in dementia and residential care.
Reception Area
As you enter the home, you'll be greeted by the home's Administration and Management team.
Communal Kitchen & Dining Room
Entering either floor, you'll be met with large, open-plan kitchens and dining rooms lit up brightly by natural light.

Residents' appearances are kept up in the home's on-site salon.

Relax in one of the home's several lounges.

Have a brew while taking in the views and observing the wildlife on the home's balcony.

The home's large garden has outdoor seating, a chicken coop and a outdoor gym.

Kim Jones
I’m responsible for the safe and effective running of the home. I love being able to make a difference, come up with innovative ideas and fulfil the lives and dreams of the residents in our care.
Within Millennium Care, I feel empowered to make the right decision for our residents and staff. I feel supported with our vision and values, and I’m looking forward to being a part of future projects.
Katy Grindley
I’m responsible for supporting the Manager and team to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the residents. I love that every day is different and rewarding, we have lots of fun and I enjoy building relationships with the residents.
Millennium Care are innovative, caring, and supportive. They have a great reward scheme and I like the ethos the company holds.
Sue Perrins
My role heavily involves liaising with residents and families and I absolutely love it.
Every day is different at Worthington Lake, and I love the variety that brings to my role. I feel supported, valued and part of a family, which makes me strive to do more for the lovely people involved at Worthington Lake.
Tracey Hampson
I’m responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving meals for the residents and assisting residents with independent living within the kitchen area. I love the interaction with the residents and getting to know them on a personal level, having a laugh and a good time with everyone.
I like Millennium Care because they encourage independent living and strong involvement with their residents.
Mel Hart
My goal is to view each resident as an individual, encouraging them to pursue their past hobbies and passions. I make it a priority to take every opportunity to bring a smile to their faces. I especially enjoy supporting residents in staying connected with the community through volunteering and local events.
This role is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, and I truly love being a part of it.

What are your visiting hours?
We only ask that you try and avoid mealtimes if that isn’t possible just let us know.
What is the household model of care?
Put simply our home is like your home. Staff are incorporated into the secure homely environment, there’s no uniform and no hierarchy below the management team – this benefits the team and our residents. It’s a community at Worthington and residents are encouraged to get involved in the day-to-day running of the home giving them a sense of purpose – but only if they choose to!
What are your activity provisions?
Unlike other homes in the group, we don’t have an Activity Coordinator, we see this as a benefit! It means all our staff are hands-on in delivering meaningful activities and building great relationships with our residents, it’s everyone’s responsibility.
How much independence do your residents have?
We treat Worthington like we would our home, residents can do as they please – we just encourage an active, engaging and healthy lifestyle.
