A quality care home based in Standish, we provide nursing, residential and respite care.
Residential Care
Residents at Lakeside choose how they want to spend their time, pursuing a wide range of interests and hobbies – from gardening and flower arranging to quiz nights and baking. Guests are free to furnish their luxury en-suite bedroom however they like, with personal belongings – cushions, art or ornaments – providing that true homely feeling.
Respite Care
At Lakeside, we provide a luxury hotel-like experience, catering for residents’ every need. Respite guests benefit from a wide range of activities in our homes; we want to ensure our guests live well, pursuing any interests or hobbies they may have – or want to take up.
Nursing Care
Lakeside are fully equipped for 24/7 care and support. The home is CQC compliant and well-staffed with expert nurses, ready to deal with all our residents’ needs. From assistance with day-to-day activities to emotional support – there is no matter too small.

Lakeside Care Home
Lakeside Care Home specialises in nursing care.

As you enter the home, you will enter the conservatory reception and be greeted by staff, residents and their loved ones.
Kitchen & Dining Room
The open-planned kitchen and dining room create a sociable setting for daily meals.
Communal Lounge
Enjoy activities all day in the homes spacious lounge.
Bistro
Treat yourself to a coffee and a sweet treat in the home's bistro.
Bedroom
Enjoy some quiet time in a fully furnished bedroom; some have direct access to the home's courtyard.

Gail Howard
I’m responsible for improving the quality of life in the home for my residents, staff, and their families. It’s my mission to ensure we provide high standard, person centred care in the home.
I love the family feel from head office to residents and staff. This is the best company I’ve worked for. Millennium Care listen and act accordingly to suggestions and most importantly, we all have a great laugh!
Lisa Hough
I’m the Deputy Manager at Lakeside, and I’m responsible for working alongside the Home Manager and team in ensuring we meet a high standard of care. I love my job because it’s all about our residents and giving them a fulfilled life. Millennium Care are so supportive and are led by very appreciative Directors.
Kelly Hitchen
Within my role as Administrator, I am responsible for showing prospective residents around, general day-to-day administration for the home, arranging staff rotas, and reception duties.
I enjoy working with all of the team here at Millennium Care, it has the feel of one big family. The most rewarding part of my day is chatting with the residents and their families and seeing them happy and content.

My role is not just about providing care; it’s about sharing laughter, building connections, and bringing joy. I strive to make people feel wanted, loved, and valued.

Every day, I have the opportunity to bring joy, purpose, and engagement to our residents. I love seeing the positive impact that meaningful activities have on their well-being.
Cath Clark
I’m responsible for the general running of the kitchen and manage the housekeeping department. I love to cook traditional, healthy and hearty foods for our residents, and couldn’t recommend Millennium Care enough.
Beth Forster
I provide Music Therapies across all our Homes, and I’m responsible for facilitating the Music in Mind group and individual sessions.
I’m generally based at Lakeside and love being able to use music to connect with and engage our residents. Getting to spend my days with so many amazing people is why I love working for Millennium Care.
Steven Simpkin
My role is all about repairing, maintaining, and ensuring everything in the home is in top working order to keep it safe and comfortable for everyone.
I love working for Millennium Care because of the people. Being part of a great team makes all the difference, and having a strong, supportive team is essential.
Jimmy
I’m Jimmy, the Home Suppawter! I’m a rambunctious fellow, loved and adored by everyone at Lakeside, and I certainly know it! I love collecting my daily dose of love and affection from all the residents and staff. Lakeside is my second home I come here every day!

Are there any additional costs?
We do charge for some add-ons such as hairdressing, chiropodist and newspapers.
What are your visiting hours?
We only ask that you avoid meal times!
What do you do for your residents?
We have an Activity Co-ordinator, a Music Therapist and an Occupational Therapist which means our residents are always stimulated and get the most out of their stay.
What investments do you make at the home?
As a provider, Millennium Care, are all about innovation and investment. As a home we want to provide the best facilities for our residents, we’re always looking to improve our home with small and large projects.
