What springs to mind when you think of food in care homes? You might think of bland, reheated food served on a tray. But at Millennium Care, it’s so much more.
Our Kitchen Teams form part of the fabric of our homes; they build crucial relationships with residents and staff to ensure snacks and meals are both nutrition-led and delicious.
That involves learning people’s likes and dislikes, as well as taking information from the Care Team. Going further than that, we believe food can revisit cherished memories. Tapping into family recipes, developing personal menus, residents helping with the cooking process or adding those secret ingredients that give the dish an extra kick can really shine a spotlight on some of the best times.
Our food doesn’t just taste good with quality fresh produce; it looks the part, too! Bright colours, excellent presentation, which only adds to the fragrance of the plate.
Food links with seasonal celebrations and themes, from an Easter Lunch and Christmas Dinner to Casino Nights and Western Weekends, meals come in all shapes and sizes, and staff love creating exceptional experiences.
As the first B Corp-accredited care provider in the UK, Millennium Care must adhere to the highest possible standards set within the accreditation which covers governance, workers, environment, customers and community by putting people above profit.
This includes shopping local with supplies, delivering fresh, locally-sourced produce alongside the home growing their own seasonal food, fruit, vegetables and herbs, something all our homes aim to achieve.
And if none of the above has changed your mind, our dedicated Kitchen Team are certified people-persons, they come with enthusiasm, passion, love and care to deliver unforgettable foodie moments that bring joy, laughter and satisfied stomachs day after day, meal after meal!
