National body to support local activity providers

3 minute read

A national body which supports the delivery of engaging activities is hosting a training event at Langtree Care Home!

The National Activities Providers Association (NAPA) will be delivering Adapting Activities, Promoting Inclusion for All on Wednesday, 4th March 2026 at Langtree Care Home, Chorley Road, Standish, WN1 2XN.

The in-person session focuses on adapting activities to suit different abilities and needs, helping ensure activities are inclusive, meaningful, and accessible for everyone and is aimed at activity providers and care teams in the local area.

NAPA is a professional body for activity providers and is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals by championing the importance of activity, engagement and overall wellbeing.

Langtree Care Home is our new home providing dementia and nursing care, and it is part of the Standish Care Village, a unique care setting in the North West with three care homes on the same site.

This is a NAPA-led training event, open to staff from other services as well as external attendees. Tickets for the training are £55 and include a certificate, post-course resources, and a light lunch.

“We are really looking forward to working with Millennium Care and the team at Langtree Lodge as they host our training event in March. We are grateful for their support and generosity in opening their home to delegates and helping us create a positive, welcoming learning environment. Partnerships like this play an important role in strengthening activity practice and professional development across the sector.”

Gianna Burns, Communications & Marketing Manager at NAPA

“We are delighted to be hosting NAPA’s event at Langtree Care Home. Our own Activity Team will benefit from the training, as well as connecting and networking with other people in similar roles and industries.

“We are new NAPA members, and we want to get as involved as possible. Our homes deliver activities daily to residents of varying needs and conditions, so improving our provisions is always on the agenda at Millennium Care.”
