Together at The Village taking flight!
As part of Millennium Care’s Together at The Village initiative, the Standish Care Village will be welcoming Owl Adventures to Langtree Care Home.
Join us on Thursday, 16th April at 10:00 as the home welcomes an array of owls and birds of prey! The event will last for 90 minutes.
Together at The Village is an initiative designed to build a community within the Standish Care Village’s three homes and, of course, connect The Village to the wider community, which has significant benefits for our residents.
Owl Adventures is an organisation that specialises in interactive bird of prey and owl experiences alongside conservational efforts.
Standish Care Village comprises Lakeside Care Home, Langtree Care Home and Worthington Lake Care Home. The homes are nestled on a nine-acre countryside estate and provide varying levels of care, offering a continuity like no other in the region.
This continuity provides residents with a home for life and peace of mind for themselves and their loved ones.
“We’re delighted to be hosting Owl Adventures as part of our Together at The Village series. We’ve done two previous events, a Coffee Morning raising money for Dementia UK and a Spring Planting Workshop with the Wigan Wildlife Gardener!
“The events have been a great opportunity for residents from across The Village to meet and make friends, to do something different with loved ones and for those from outside our community to learn more about what the Standish Care Village has to offer.”
