Christmas Toy Drive

2 minute read

A staff member at Lavender Hills Care Home is delivering a Christmas campaign that will support the Manchester Foundation Trust Charity for a second year running.

Jeanette Morgan, a Team Leader at the home, is leading the home’s Christmas Toy Drive campaign following a great effort last year, which saw the donation of almost 100 toys to the charity. These were then distributed through the Trust’s network.

The Manchester Foundation Trust Charity raises funds for the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, which comprises 10 hospitals. The Trust’s Christmas Appeal supports their pioneering Youth Service, which is one of only three in the country.

“The charity means a lot to me as my daughter is disabled and spends a lot of time in the hospital. The Play Team help by providing her with activities that have been donated to keep her occupied. To be part of that from a giving perspective is a great joy.

“The response to the campaign last year was amazing, but I want to do it bigger and better this year! No child should have to go without at Christmas, and this initiative can bring so much joy to families across our region.”
