There was magic in the air at Marley Court Nursing home as residents and visitors got a big Christmas surprise when the staff performed a masterful performance of Jack and the Beanstalk for their residents and visitors.
At the recent Marley Court Nursing panto performance the home filled with laughter as absolutely hilarious characters had everyone laughing throughout – including myself! The quick remarks, the timing of the punch-lines and the showmanship made it a really enjoyable performance.
The Trott family are down on their luck and need to make money… and fast! When Jack takes their beloved cow Daisy to market, all he gets for her are three measly beans. But these are no ordinary beans! Jack wakes to find an enormous beanstalk slap-bang in the middle of his mum’s beloved vegetable patch.
The performance was planned and organised to the finest detail by Elaine Wright Activities Coordinator at Marley Court Nursing Home with the dedicated cast meeting twice weekly in their spare time to rehearse.
During the panto residents and their families were shouting out and laughing like they had never laughed before, the atmosphere was full of excitement which will continue throughout the Christmas period with a full schedule of festive activities planned.
