Love is in the care!

3 minute read

The Standish Care Village brought the love to its residents this weekend with several events and activities to mark Valentine’s Day.

Lakeside Care Home, Langtree Care Home and Worthington Lake Care Home are all part of the Standish Care Village, a unique setting in the North West catering for varying levels of care needs.

The homes celebrated Valentine’s Day with various activities and events, including themed bingo, an extra special dinner service, afternoon tea, a massage therapist, personalised gifts, in-house photoshoots and performances from local entertainment and too many roses to count!

“It was great to see homes in the Village embrace the day, and it was brilliant to be involved in the celebrations at Langtree Care Home. Residents and their loved ones were treated to a delightful afternoon tea, some entertainment and a masseuse.

“We also saw a couple who are at different homes in the Village reunited for the special day, a true love story!”

Charlotte May, Content Creator at Millennium Care

“This is our first Valentine’s Day at the home, and we wanted to make it special for our residents and their friends and family. We work hard as a team to keep meals healthy and exciting, so themed events are a real thrill for us!”

Glen Roberts, Head Chef at Langtree Care Home

The Standish Care Village caters for respite, residential, dementia and nursing care and provides a continuity like no other in the region.
