Lavish Life on Cottage Retreat

Lakeside Care Home, based in Standish, recently took a handful of residents on a British holiday which was supported by their care staff.

Enjoying some time away at a farm cottage in Hambleton, Blackpool there was an exciting week of activities planned.

Kickstarting their holiday with a trip to Blackpool Zoo, the group enjoyed fishing on a local lake, visits to Cleavleys’ beach and even had access to a hydrotherapy pool which provides countless benefits.

“They had a brilliant time; it was relaxing and therapeutic for them with lots of physical and mental benefits. It was so successful that we’re even looking at implementing monthly swimming trips for all our residents to enjoy!

“Someone who really benefitted from the trip was Ken, he loves walking and being in the outdoors; this trip gave him a new lease of life.”

“I couldn’t fault it; I had the best time, and it was brilliant. I’d love to go again; I really liked the swimming; it was good, and I felt really happy and proud being there.
