The role involves supporting residents with daily meal times and maintaining a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment. You will help prepare light meals, snacks and drinks, assist residents during meal times, and contribute to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
This position plays an important role in building positive, long-standing relationships with residents while working collaboratively as part of a supportive and friendly team.
Prepare light meals, snacks and drinks in line with residents’ needs
Assist residents during meal times, ensuring dignity and choice are respected
Support individuals with specialist dietary needs (training provided)
Promote a positive, engaging and fun-filled environment
Ensure residents’ rights are protected at all times
Promote and safeguard the welfare of individuals supported by the service
Deliver loving, individual, person-centred care
Develop effective working relationships with colleagues
Communicate clearly and professionally with residents and staff
Seek opportunities for personal and professional development
Take responsibility for your own development through appraisals and training
Maintain required standards of cleaning skills and undertake refresher training as needed
